The school started in 1982 with 14 pioneer students. The idea to start the school was hatching by Mr. Paddy Kabagambe who was later on joined by the other members from the community. The idea of a secondary school in the area was embraced by the community as secondary schools were far away and many children were going to access secondary education through the school easily.
